the gyrl grip will be manifesting Surgemony V: seemefeelmetouchmehealme the fifth installation in a series of performances which explore the nature of intimacy, longing and the alienation from one’s own body often experienced within gender transition.
In this latest installation of Surgemony, one performer is bound and blindfolded, unable to touch others or themselves, while the other intensely explores the boundaries where spirit meets flesh within their own transitioning body.
A closing party will be held Sunday the 24th featuring Try My Cabbage, Dr. Ake, Steve Strong and more @ Oddfellows, Devonport from 8pm
